Resilience — Struggling for Life
I have been working in the IT field for exactly seven years. In this time, I’ve had the opportunity to participate in several projects, each presenting different challenges and levels of maturity. Learning from both successes and mistakes, I have come to the realisation that I am not a genius.
However, over the years, I’ve understood that with 100% effort, I can learn anything!
As a Jiu Jitsu practitioner, I learnt that each time that you join in the tatame you have to give 100% of yourself as well as is not all days that you will have the energy to give your maximum.
From that philosophy, I’ve developed my commitment to studying for more than 12 hours straight, exposing myself to a kind of stress and pressure that, admittedly, is not healthy. But If did not make it, Who will make for me? From the sky only will fall rain, even though It could be bird shit.
It has never been easy, and I acknowledge that it never will be.
The game is unfair, and it has been for a long time. This struggle for life forms a cycle and legacy that I may fail to break for myself. But, within this journey, I aim to create an amazing sunrise for those whom I love.
Sacrifices are a necessity; the world will attempt to keep you down, and people may betray you. In facing these challenges, it’s crucial to keep in mind your essence. Reflect on where you came from, what you have had to lose, and who depends on you.
I took more than four hours of my day inside a bus to arrive in work.
I did a lot of overnight to study and worked in the construction with my father to put food on the table.
I buried my mother who fought more than seven years against a cancer and everyday she taught me the meaning of life even in that hard times.
I learned how to live with each scar each tear, and each drop of sweat.
In each time that I lose myself in my mind in front of layoffs, uncertain of the future, the fear of missing out, I comeback to the beginning.
